to wish my dear Jewish friends and customers Happy Hanukkah. It's also time to wish others a Merry Christmas. No matter which religion, we all are celebrating a holy season, where we exchange gifts.
This season at glee we have tuned in to all the reasons why you visited glee gifts to purchase a gift: to thank someone; to remember a kind gesture; to give just to give. To find a gift for the girls in book club; the office swap; the teacher who has become so special to your child. Gifts for your daughters; your girlfriends; your wife; aunts; 90 year old grandmother; your children's mother. A gift made in the USA, for under $10 dollars. Eight days of Hanukkah. Twelve days of Christmas. We love each and every reason you visit our stores; to seek that special gift for the person on your list or to indulge yourself for something unique just for you.
We may not have what you are looking for all the time, but we try. We listen to you and we are tuned in to you. When you visit one of the stores, you are off-line; it's an opportunity for you to unplug from your computer and shop face to face with us. Most times there is conversation involved. And that's what lights us up at glee. We are not just a store. We are a store within a community. And that community is YOU!
Many people have told me they would like for glee to have an on-line shopping cart. If we do, how will we know about the details of your 50th birthday party? The story behind the bead that was given to celebrate the engagement of your daughter? The laughs, the thrill of the GLEE when someone receives a gift selected by you from glee gifts. Yes, having an on-line cart would mean more business, but is an on-line shopping experience really what I want glee gifts to become? I don't think so. We won't hear your wonderful stories!
So I just want to say thank-you for the face to face conversations. All of us at glee gifts wish you the very best this holiday season. And we love seeing your beautiful face!
gleefully yours,
Ann and the glee gals
