Just this past week I HAD to go to a big box store for a gift. It was awful but it was awesome.
Awful because I couldn't make up my mind on what to purchase--there were so many choices. Awesome because now I know how some of my customers must feel when they can't make up their mind when they shop glee gifts.
Truth be told, I have visited many a boutique the past year, but have not stepped one foot into a big box store. Okay, maybe one. The gifts I had to buy for this special occasion I do not carry, so off I went to the MALL. I was feeling rushed anyway, but when I walked into the department store and saw all the choices I almost hyperventilated. After an hour and a half and with no sales help, I finally made up my mind and bought a gift although I left with a headache.
I hope shopping at glee is never like that for my customers. Granted, we carry lots of lines, many collections and pride ourselves with the variety customers can choose. We try to help as best we can and the fact that we have gift wrap is a pleasantry for all. This experience has been humbling, maybe I should visit the mall more often!
